R.I.P. IT!
The seriouness of toxic relationships

Poster created during a university workshop in February 2020, titled:
Reduce. Reuse. Recycle, led by Professor Alexandra Kot at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. Two keywords were assigned: one related to an object and one to a social issue. I was given the word "ring" and the theme of "gender violence." These were used as a slogan to define a context and identify issues that concern us closely, allowing for individual commentary through visual language.

The visual synthesis needs to be impactful: you see only a female hand, illustrated in a cartoonish style, without the ring. Here, the act of ripping symbolizes the idea that one can always move forward, encouraging women to report violence, including in domestic settings.
The slogan "R.I.P. IT" connects both to the verb "to rip off" and the phrase "rest in peace." Tearing away the ring is intended as an encouragement to end toxic relationships.
